The Dudes Are Alright

Jason Diamond is a writer and editor who lives in New York City. He's the founder of Vol. 1 Brooklyn, current New York Deputy Editor of Flavorpill, and the former editor of Jewcy.com. His writing has been published by The New York Times, The Paris Review, Vice, NPR.org, the A.V. Club, Tablet, The Rumpus, Thought Catalog, Impose, Miami New Times, Capital New York, and the Chicago Tribune. He’s currently at work on a book. He thinks it’s going to be awesome, and hopes that the book buying public does also.

These are a few of his favorite things.

  • Going to Chicago this week.  This is my agenda:
Try and spend as much time at my hotel, Longman & Eagle, as possible, but without spending too much time at my hotel…
Try Maude’s Liquor Bar.
Visit my hometown of Skokie, and go to the mall where there’s a L.L. Bean store, because that’s the only thing we don’t have in New York.
Check out Apartment Number 9.
Eat at least two hot dogs.
Eat at Hot Doug’s at least once.
Chicago Rare Book Center.
Stroll around the campus of the University of Chicago.
A bloody mary at the Ginger Man in Wrigleyville.
