  • Longman & Eagle is the perfect place to stay if you’re planning spending the evening on getting a bit liquored up, as you can wake up to their breakfast menu that is seriously a work of art that cures all that ails you.  I’d been hoping to try out their supposedly life changing sunny side duck hash, but since there was a delivery screw up, I had to wait another day to try it out.  (I did try it, and it was pretty fantastic.)
A bit disappointed, I ordered the fried chicken, waffles, sweet potato & pork belly hash, maple syrup, since I’m a sucker for each of those things on their own.  The result was beyond outstanding: the chicken was plump, the sweet potatoes tasted clean and fresh, and all the meat tasted delicious with the syrup drizzled over it. It was the greatest plate of chicken and waffles I’ve ever had; and yes, I’ve had more than a few plates in my life.
